How does MSM work?
1. Setting up and naming each pre-school
When a preschool is set up it will be given a name that is associated with the movement itself e.g. Skol Veythrin Karenza and will automatically become part of its network, even though each preschool will function more or less independently.
2. Coordinating a bilingual programme of activities
The facility will coordinate a programme of Cornish/English bilingual activities organised into 4 sessions throughout the day (2 sessions in the morning and 2 sessions in the afternoon). Each session will last for one and a half hour. Parents/Guardians will be expected to pay for each full or half session attended by their child.
3. Getting support from specialists and experts
MSM works closely with Cornish language experts (e.g. Jenefer Lowe) and groups (e.g. Cornish Language Partnership), in addition to specialists in the field of bilingual education for young children and language planners (e.g. Dr Davyth Hicks).
